Let's face it . . . another year just passed and most of us probably didn't do a very good job preserving our memories. Whether you scrapbook, put pictures in albums or have some other method it's often hard to find the time. I personally have vowed to do a much better job in 2018! When thinking about what would work for me I developed this idea of having a calendar page that I can record each month's highlights along with matching pages to add photographs and journaling. Sure, this isn't a unique idea; others have done it. But, since I decided to do it for myself why not create a workshop?!?!?!?
Each month we're going to get together and complete four pages - two for each month. Each kit will include extra papers so more pages can be added that match.
Here's the samples for our first workshop:

These pages feature Doodlebug papers and embellishments and I plan to continue to use Doodlebug products throughout the year.
Here's some helpful tips to get you motivated to document your year:
¨ Keep a small notebook or paper pad with you in your purse or bag so you can jot down the things you definitely don’t want to forget like event highlights and quotes.
¨ Gather a stash of supplies to use on your calendar pages. In addition to themed stickers and embellishments, also look at embellishments designed for planners. Keep these items and your favorite pens together so they’re convenient to use and take to workshops.
¨ Set aside time to scrapbook. If you use a planner, actually schedule it! This will give you something to look forward to and will help you remember the activities you wish to document. Whether you establish a scrapbooking routine that is daily, weekly or monthly, the important thing is to set aside the time!
¨ In addition to featuring the fun events (parties, trips, etc.) also include everyday activities such as doctor’s visits, playing games at home, curling up with a good book, snuggling with the dog, cooking, home improvement projects, etc.
¨ Don’t forget to journal! At minimum, include the basics . . . the who, what, where and when! If you want to include more information, just think of what you would say to a person sitting next to you if you were showing them your pictures and WRITE THAT!
